After the flop that "Sierra Burgess is a Loser" turned out to be, Netflix sure outdid itself with the new "Dumplin'" film based off of Julie Murphy's novel of the same name. It's one of those stories where the film and the book are equally amazing, but a note for those who haven't read the book - Bo Larson is even more swoon-worthy in the book if you can imagine.

If you haven't read or seen it yet, do yourself a favor and catch up! It's a definite success for all the right reasons.

Netflix has been killing it with all these YA novels to Netflix originals and we are here for it! Obviously, we want to keep them coming so here's a list of books that we're still waiting for a quality film adaptation.

1. "Eleanor and Park" by Rainbow Rowell

What shocks most young adult bookworms is that "Eleanor & Park" still hasn't been made into a movie. Ever since it graced our bookshelves in 2013, we've been waiting for it to hit the big screen like it deserves. Alas, it hasn't happened yet so Netflix, you can come sweep in and grab it as long as you promise that the cast will stay true to the characters and the script will stay true to the story.

2. "Puddin'" by Julie Murphy

Maddie Baillio won our hearts as Millie Michalchuk in "Dumplin'" so it's only natural for us to want a film of the companion novel, "Puddin'." This time, it's all about the loveable and innocent Millie and yes, we still get to see all our favorite characters. Is it too early for the sequel film to be made? Who cares, we want it now!

3. "Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell

Can we just say that anything by Rainbow Rowell should be made into a movie? As soon as she publishes a novel, there should already be someone optioning it for a movie.

4. "The Summer I Turned Pretty" by Jenny Han

Everyone knows Jenny Han's "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" became an instant classic in the summer of 2018, but those who've been Han's fan for awhile have been waiting for this trilogy too. There's been talk for years and the author even confirmed it this year that they are trying to get something made. Netflix, make it easier on everyone and get it going already!

5. "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli

This one is actually being released in 2019 on the upcoming Disney+ so it's a little late for Netflix to pick it up, but we've been waiting for this one since 2002. We can only hope that if it's a flop on Disney, Netflix could try and remake it.

6. "Slammed" by Colleen Hoover

This might not be Colleen's most lighthearted novel, but let's be honest, none of her characters will win your heart like Layken and Will. If you're a fan of poetry, you'll be a fan of this novel and will be pushing for it to be Netflix's new project like the rest of us.

7. "The Beginning of Everything" by Robyn Schneider

John Green fans would be all over this one. A Netflix film wouldn't be so far out of reach on it either.

8. "Listen To Your Heart" by Kasie West

I am a HUGE fan of all things Kasie West and I would highly encourage Netflix to a series of all her books. I think I would die of all the good content and would never be bored of Netflix again. "Listen To Your Heart," however, is probably the most relatable in a modern day high school. It's got podcast broadcasting, friends matchmaking, and secret pining - what more could we ask for in a Netflix original?

9. "Anna and the French Kiss" by Stephanie Perkins

While I think any film adaptation of this would benefit from a titular change, the story itself would be perfect for those scrolling through Netflix looking for a feel-good romantic comedy.

10. "Love & Gelato" by Jenna Evans Welch

Netflix, haven't you heard that cute beach reads make for good movies? This is just as lighthearted and romantic as "Dumplin'," so if you have yet to pick up the book, you should be adding it to your Amazon cart right about now.

11. "To Be Honest" by Maggie Ann Martin

What I love about this one is that it's one girl's journey to loving herself in the midst of people telling her not to which is a real-world example of how it is to live in our society nowadays. I especially love how it's lighthearted without being so bold and flashy. It's loving who you are wherever you are and teen girls need this movie now!

12. "The Earth, My Butt, And Other Big Round Things" by Carolyn Macker

This was the "Dumplin'" of the 2000's and we still haven't had a movie made about it. What's the deal with that?

Until we have all these movies, we can always reread them every night and rewatch "Dumplin'."

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
