Being a journalism major, one of the first things I was told by a professor was "There is no such thing as writer's block, you have to write." Thanks, Professor McHale not only did that stress me out but it gave me an idea for an article.
So, first off, I mostly wrote this article because I really was having a hard time coming up with an idea. However, I have to have an article published every week and I decided why not write about writer's block.
To begin in the professional world there is no way you could go up to your boss and say "sorry no article today I had writer's block."
That will probably get you fired. To top it off, there are also many ways that you can find inspiration to write.
One of the ways is to make a list whenever an idea pops into your head. This way a month down the line when you can not think of anything you have an idea already. I highly recommend doing this as this is how I find much inspiration for my articles. Another way is literally take an hour away from your work. Do something completely different instead of stressing yourself out so much about what to write.
Most times you'll find you have a fresh mind and are able to better complete or start whatever you were working on. Three browse the internet, this sounds weird but a lot of times you will find something that interests you.
Finally, when inspiration hits you just start writing as much as you can about it, it does not matter if it's a short story, poem, or news just write. This comes in handy because it's extremely easy to go back and fix the piece to make it more up-to-date and publish it.
The very reason I wrote this article is because I thought I had writer's block but turns out I don't. I had an idea and ran with it. Like stated above there's no such thing as writer's block. Throw words on your piece and eventually, you have something.
