Being an Odyssey writer has impacted my life over the last few months.
Many people see my articles on their timeline, scroll past, and don't even think twice about reading them. Others, might read them and possibly get inspired and motivated to share their own thoughts.
For me, writing is a way to put together all my little mental thoughts and release them. The fact that others get to read my ideas is even cooler!
My brain works like a bunch of networks speeding back and forth, collecting ideas and observations. Writing helps me organize those ideas into statements and theories.
For instance, if I have been on a tangent with myself about something that needs to be changed, or something that is bothering me, I can make my thoughts seem more solid and real.
Getting feedback on my writing is not mostly, but only part of what keeps me going. I love being able to write for people to hear my voice and relate to what I am saying.
In fact, being able to write my thoughts has turned me into a more self-aware person. I am able to speak my mind and create an idea of who I am to the world I am writing to.
A few weeks ago, I actually was reached out to by someone who reads my articles. She said that she loves my writing and encouraged me to keep going. It was a beautiful thing. Some person who has their own life, their own struggles, and their own things to do, stopped and took the time to reach out to me.This boost seriously helps me push forward my weaknesses or writer's block.
I have had several people comment on my articles, complementing my writing and telling me to keep going! Some may not know but pushing people to do better is a key way to help others, and even help yourself.
Proving that slight motivation and positive energy really goes a long way. Especially for a super-duper busy college student who WRITES FOR FUN. Who else could really say that they write for fun in college?
