I started working in my towns coffee shop a couple months ago and I think it was one of the best decisions of my life. One thing that I have a love/hate relationship with is having to wake up so early to go to work. I hate getting up in the morning, but it's making me become a morning person, and I love it. Having to go to work at 7 in the morning wakes me up and helps me get energized for the rest of the day. Of course I go home and take a nap, but then I'm energized! Another thing I love is when the Mayor stops in. He and one of his friends come in very often to get coffee and talk and sometimes they race to the register, telling the other that "No, I'm paying!". I love that I know more people of the community. I've gotten to know bankers, vets, mothers, waitresses, managers and so much more. We have some older couples that come in everyday and they're so sweet and they get so excited to see me. Working in a coffee shop means that I get to taste all the drinks on the menu, and that's heaven. I've loved getting to know members of the community, and what they crave to drink every morning. Those perks are what I live for.
