No matter what season of life that you find yourself in, worship music can always bring us closer to our Father in Heaven. For the past few years, worship music has been a huge part of my life. I have faced many challenges in the past few years, and worship music always has a way of helping me to realize that I am not alone in the trials that I am facing. Music has a way of speaking to people, and there are a few worship songs that I have on m list that speak straight to my heart.

1. "Praise You In This Storm" by Casting Crowns.

I'll praise you in this storm and I will lift my hands That you are who you are No matter where I am

This song reminds me that no matter what kind of storm I am walking through, God is God no matter where we are in our lives.

2. "Trust" by Hillsong United

The only thing I know Is God you're in control
In every little detail, You are close
I'll never be alone Here in the unknown
The power of Your Presence Fills my soul

This song reminds me that God is in control of my life and that He is always close by. We will never be alone as long as we have God by our sides.

3."Save A Place For Me" by Matthew West

I have asked the questions why but I guess the answer's for another time so instead I'll pray with every tear and be thankful for the time I had you here

This song is near and dear to my heart right now. As I am facing loss again, this song serves as a comfort to me. We are promised a place with Jesus in Heaven and this song reminds me that one day we will be reunited with our loved ones that we have lost.

4. "Sovereign Over Us" By Shane & Shane

Your plans are still to prosper
You have not forgotten us
You're with us in the fire and the flood
You're faithful forever
Perfect in love
You are sovereign over us

This song is one of the new ones that I just added to my worship playlist. I had heard it a few times at ignite and a few days ago I was having a hard time trusting God so I looked up this song. It is such a great reminder that God is always with us and stays faithful to us no matter what.

5. "King of My Heart" by Kutless

Let the King of my heart
Be the mountain where I run
The fountain I drink from
Oh He is my Song

This is another song that is new to me, but that comforts me in times of hardship. It is another simple reminder that God is the King of our hearts and we can always run to Him with everything.

6. "Hills and Valleys" By Tauren Wells

When I'm walking through the valley end, no I am not alone

This song is one of my favorites. I heard it on the radio one day and it was just so relatable. I have climbed a lot of "mountains" in my life and through the trials, I still praise God and know that in the end when I made it through said trails I have God to thank.

7. "Born In Bethlehem" By Andy & Rachel

This song is written by people at my church, and it is a beautiful Christmas song. I recommend you look it up on Spotify and give it a listen. It is so beautiful and really reminds us of the importance of Christmas, which is ultimately the birth of our Savior.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
