6 Reasons Why World War II Reenacting Is Awesome

World War II reenacting is a great hobby that comes with many perks. Here is a list of just some of the positive things that come with WWII reenacting.

1. You get to travel back in time. Going to WWII reenactments, or being a part of one gives you the chance to see what it was like in 1939 through mid-1940s. Being a reenactor, you get to bring the past history of World War II to life.

2. You get to meet new friends. Going to different events and doing different impressions help you meet new people. From experience, all the people in reenacting are absolutely awesome. They are unique and have wonderful personalities. Eventually, you will have more reenactor friends on Facebook than other friends!

3. You get to teach others about this unforgettable era. Being a part of these events gives you a chance to help others learn about what the WWII era was like. You give them a chance to jump back in time with you.

4. You get to dress up! Who doesn't like dressing up?! This is a chance to dress up and pretend to be someone else. Whether you dress up like a soldier or decide to do a home front, you're sure to feel good!

5. You get to see battles reenacted or be the one reenacting them! This is a great part of reenacting. Seeing the battles that were fought is an amazing experience. Hearing from the people that are a part of the battles, reenacting them is even better!

6. You get to feel good that you are honoring those who were a part of WWII. Many WWII beterans come to the reenacting events that are held, and with them they bring stories of their time during the war. This is by far the most rewarding thing about being a WWII reenactor. Many thank you for being at the events. Some veterans even reenact!

Whether you go as a spectator or are a part of the living history, WWII reenacting is an amazing hobby and event. Be sure to look up events near you, or look into belonging to the hobby!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
