I Firmly Believe That Everyone Needs To Work In Customer Service At One Time Or Another

The true ugliness and rudeness of humanity come out when they talk and or treat customer service workers terribly.

I have worked in customer service as a cashier at a frozen yogurt shop and as the server/person who picks up the phone at a mostly delivery restaurant. As a result, I definitely have had my fair share of rude customers.

They ask for demands you can't fulfill and yell at you for something beyond your control. When I was working at the restaurant that mostly did the delivery, sometimes orders would get backed up and take longer than usual when it was busy. Customers would call and complain to me. There was nothing I could do about it because I'm not the driver so I would just apologize and explain the situation. More often than not, they'd still be upset at the end of the phone call. I would feel so awful and helpless afterward. I couldn't say anything to defend myself because they'd only get madder.

I hate that because people are spending money at a business they feel entitled to do or demand whatever they want. Yes, we appreciate the business and your money, but it's not an excuse to treat workers like garbage. More often than not, your demands are beyond their control and they can't do anything about it. We are all trying to do our job to the best of our abilities and follow the rules set for us, don't come for us because of it.

I think everyone should have some experience in customer service so they understand how much those workers go through and will hopefully humble themselves. No, this is not a trash talk about all customers. But please don't yell at us, we're trying our best.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
