Dear you,
I am going to start off simple: you're perfect. Do not bother disagreeing with me, it is not worth your time. I promise you, there is something perfect about you. Something so perfect, that nobody else in the entire world has it. It might be a small freckle on your pinky finger or your incredible personality, but one tiny thing can make you entirely perfect. So do not let anybody, including yourself, tell you anything else.
You may be feeling down on yourself or think somebody else is better, but you are wrong. There is nobody better than you. Your flaws, that you hate so dearly, are what make you, YOU. When you look in the mirror you do not see the person that the world around you sees, and I want to help you see that person.
Beauty is not restricted to an external feature. Beauty comes from the moment you decide to be true to yourself.
You are not defined by who you were, but instead who you are, and who you want to become; whether you were the kid that was bullied in high school or even the bully in middle school. You can still be the person your inner self wants you to be. It is never too late.
Mistakes are meant to be made, and they make you stronger. The mistakes you make are what will make you a perfect human being. Don't be afraid to fail. Failure does not kill dreams, doubt does.
You were put on this Earth for a reason, and your life, is a journey to explore the reason, or reasons. Next time you make a mistake, figure out why you made it, and what that mistake is trying to tell you - chances are something incredible will thrive from it.
You need to realize that you are not going to be able to change everything you do not agree with. Once you realize this, you are going to need to learn to let go of the things you cannot change. Negative things are not worth keeping around in your life. You can't move forward if you keep doing things that bring you back.
Stop feeling like the world is against you because if you have this feeling, the only person against you, is yourself. You have the ability to change your perspective about the universe, so do it.
What you may not understand is that your life is a novel, and you are the only author. You have your influencers and antagonists, but the only person that can determine the outcome of the story, is you. Learn to trust your instincts because they're a very useful writing tip.
And my final words for you: it is okay to put yourself first. You are not being selfish. You need to be able to put yourself first before you have to ability to put another before you. Doing things for yourself does not make you greedy or a bad person; it means you are living, maybe not forever, but you're living.
