So we all remember the Frozen craze that started back into 2013 and lasted through the next year. And the next. And the next. You know come to think of it it hasn’t stopped. Since that time we’ve been hearing the songs from that movie. It’s hard to go anywhere during the winter without hearing “Do you Wanna Build a Snowman?” or “In Summer.”

Admit it. You just sang one of those titles in your head instead of just saying it. Don’t feel too bad. I did too while writing this. Not surprisingly there have come with those songs there have come parodies. Oh so many parodies. There were the clever opposites. Look up “Let ‘em Burn.” You won’t be disappointed.

There were the very dark ones such as “Do you wanna hide a body?” Even one of my friends came up with a very unique and very politically incorrect version called, “Do you wanna conquer Ukraine?” Yes he actually wrote 3 verses to that song. Of course there was also the blessing to humanity that is Bob Herzog, Weatherman. If you haven’t seen this parody, you are missing out and it is totally worth “Let it Go.” being stuck in your head again.

Well, I think I’d be amiss if in an article of parodies if I didn’t include my own. Below is“Let it Go.” taken through 10 languages in Google Translate. Ok, so the idea wasn’t mine but the languages used were of my choosing and my decision not to sing comes from a care about those reading. A care that they don’t have to have to hear me sing this butchered and rhythmically inconsistent version of Frozen’s “Let it Go.”

Snow white and the mountain that night together

He received no appearance

If rules are

I love: Rani.

Wind storm in the Gulf of Howling

Desire;

See

Good

Hide or address

But now I know!

Keep it

And it is

Keep it

Pull Door

I do not care,

To be

The fury of the storm

Cool, not offend me!

Then the results, rather than otherwise,

Most are low,

And control

They can not make me!

You can see that

The sin of many of the Laos

Reflexes were not told him yet!

Keep it

I, spirits

Keep it

I never cry!

Here I was ready,

I will here

Storm of wrath?

Of snow on the ground, in the air,

Great treasure, Fractals

The idea is cool

I will not go back,

At the time,

Keep it

And it is late morning, if

Keep it

Good, O

Here I was ready,

In the light of the day,

The fury of the storm

Cool, not offend me!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
