Tis the season! Happy holidays everyone. We are 17 days away from Christmas as I write this. Maybe you have started buying your loved ones gifts or haven't even started yet. It's okay if you haven't started but I suggest you start soon. The sooner you get it done, the better because you no longer will have to worry about it and you beat the rush at the mall or don't have to worry about it not being delivered on time if you decided to order something online. Chances are that you have a college girl among the people you have to buy gifts for and you're probably thinking what in the world should I get her? Well I am here to help! Here's a short list of possible gifts to get a college girl.

A Gift Card to Their Favorite Store

You can never go wrong with a gift card! She's able to choose whatever she wants from her favorite store without worrying how much it costs, well of course making sure they don't go over the amount on the card unless they plan to put in the difference. For instance, if she's into makeup Sephora is perfect. She'll really appreciate it, I promise! And if you do not know what her favorite store is then a Visa gift card works because those can be used just about anywhere.

Active Wear

Whether she works out or not, she'll definitely appreciate this. Active wear is so comfortable to wear to class especially and to just hang out in as well. You can never have enough. Just don't forget a gift receipt in case you get the wrong size!

Money

Money is always an option too. She'll definitely be happy with the money. We are some broke college students out here. She can either save up that money, use it to buy books and supplies for next semester, food, and the list goes on! She'll be eternally grateful for some money, especially around the holidays because after buying gifts we can see the effect on our wallets.

Concert/Sports Event Tickets

Know of a concert or sports team going on near her school or when she'll be back at home? Buy her tickets to go with you! She'll definitely appreciate some time to get away from school work and enjoy a night out whether that be to see her favorite artist or favorite sports team play. This gift is kind of tricky though because you have to make sure she's free without giving away the surprise so it takes some extra planning.

Skin Care Products

Who doesn't love skin care products? Especially masks. Applying masks is the perfect way to relax and take care of your skin at the same time. Let her try one of your favorite masks and maybe she'll like it enough to start buying it on her own.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
