Women Supporting Other Women Is The Best Thing To Happen To Our Society

Here's why.

Women Supporting Other Women Is The Best Thing To Happen To Our Society

We live in a society where it is "cool" to outdo each other. We make everything a competition. It is always, who has the better makeup, hair, outfit, etc. or who is in a relationship and whose significant other treats them better? EVERYTHING is a competition and it makes life exhausting. Instead of competing against each other, we should be working together, supporting one another and lifting each other up.

I have noticed within the last year that women are really starting to support other women, and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT!

We Are Strong

We as women are taken for granted a lot of times. We are treated as fragile little people, both emotionally and physically. People think that we are not as strong as we truly are. We go through so much emotionally, spiritually and physically. We work so hard to reach our goals and our dreams. It is so nice to have the support of others, instead of them trying to constantly tear you down.

Kindness Is Powerful

When you are doubted by others, that gives you motivation to work harder and prove them wrong, but kindness and support is even more powerful.

Growing up, I was always doubted and knocked down by mean girls by anything and everything, whether it was my clothes, hair or makeup (or lack thereof). This gave me anxiety, stress, depression and self doubt. Because of the mean girls, I was self conscious for years.

When you have support and motivation from others, they push you to go above and beyond your original goals. They push you to be the best that you can possibly be, even when you do not believe in yourself, your girl gang will always believe in you and have your back through the ups and downs, and that is the best feeling in the world.

Building Each Other Up Makes Us More Powerful

When we support each other, we help each other grow in better ways and to be our best selves.

Building each other up only makes us better and stronger.

We should not be competing against one another. Tearing each other down only does more harm than good.

Women supporting women has been the best thing to happen to our society in a long time. We will all be better versions of ourselves and happier people when we support one another.

Being mean and petty does not help anyone and is always unnecessary.

So let's keep this trend going and spread kindness like wildfire!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
