Recently at Star Wars Celebration, a new line of toys, books and animated shorts has been announced. This new series is called Forces of Destiny and it will focus specifically on the women of Star Wars. Characters that will get their own new adventures include Leia Organa, Ahsoka Tano, Padmé Amidala, Sabine Wren, Jyn Erso and Rey.

Forces of Destiny will launch in July with new animated shorts that will each be only a few minutes long. They will launch on Disney's YouTube channel, showing new scenes and adventures that will be a canon part of the Star Wars universe. There will also be a two-part TV special on Disney Channel in the fall of this year.

Forces of Destiny will have a star-studded cast as actresses Daisy Ridley (Rey) and Felicity Jones (Jyn) will voice the new animated versions of their characters. Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka) and Tiya Sircar (Sabine) will also be reprising their roles. Padmé will be voiced by Catherine Taber, the voice actress that voiced her in The Clone Wars CGI animated series. The animated shorts will be narrated by Lupita Nyong'o, reprising her role as Maz Kanata. Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, has stated that Forces of Destiny will, "capture the small moments and everyday decisions that shape who these characters are. It is a fun new way for people to experience Star Wars."

Hasbro will launch a line of toys to accompany the new series. The new dolls are 11 inches tall and are able to move like action figures while also having an appearance more like traditional dolls than the typical action figure. Some dolls will come with smaller figures, such as a Leia doll that comes with an Ewok and an Ahsoka doll that comes with a Loth-cat. Supporting characters from the shorts will also have dolls, such as Chewbacca and Luke Skywalker. Hasbro will also release role-play items and accessories, such as Rey's staff.

Plenty of more products are on the way, including books based on the new adventures. The first volume is set to be released on the first of August and the second will be out in October.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
