Why I Wish Makeup Was Never Invented

Don’t get me wrong, I love makeup. However, I sort of wish makeup was never even invented because when women take off their makeup, they see themselves different and point out all of their flaws.

I wish we were brought up into this world where makeup was not the only way to make women look beautiful. It is incredibly sad because makeup can truly make you look different, and I do not think that it is a good thing for us women because it increases our insecurities. We live in a superficial and perfectionist world. It should not be like that.

If makeup was not invented, maybe our world would not have high expectations and we would appreciate our natural looks. Media plays a major role and expects women to wear makeup 24/7 in order to look beautiful. Women are beautiful without makeup, period.
