I run wild and free, Yet I stand planted like a tree.
All I want is to be free, to soar through the darkened streets, without any decree
To laugh and smile without remorse or quick heartbeats of fear.
To bask in my youth, let it fill me with joy and the wonders that it provides.
I want to peer into my life like headlights appear to a deer. Fast and without pause.
Reality hits me without cause, I'm still planted to the tree
I awaken, no longer free
