10 reasons why your elementary school friends will be your friend’s forever

1. They were your first friends

After your first day of school you went home and begged your mom to let you have a playdate with these girls.

2. They knew you at your awkward stages

Elementary school was a rough patch for us all, from the peace signs selfies and braces to the pic stitch collages and awful outfit choices.

3. They know way too much about you

From school to countless play dates, sleepovers, and everything in between, you spent every day with these girls and they know every awkward detail about your life

4. You became part of their family and they became part of yours

Your relatives treated them as part of the family and a family event just wasn’t the same without these girls.

5. The memories you made are unforgettable

Getting your friend kicked out of class for laughing at you dancing behind the teachers back or making those movie presentations based on a book you just read. From going on weekend trips together to mattress surfing down your staircase to going on bike rides or having those sleepovers that turned into staying up all night talking we did it all.

6. The games you made up were so ridiculous but so funny

When you played school and were the bad student to make your friend (the teacher) give you detention or when you made the basement of your friend’s house into a nail and hair salon. We also made up a game where we locked each other out of the house and tried to see who could find the key first. On top of that we even threw birthday parties for my dog!

7. The accidental injuries we will never forget, but we can laugh about now

When I accidentally hit someone in the head with a bowling ball, you may have your own version of this but for me it was the bowling ball

8. When 8th grade graduation rolled around and we all picked our high schools

We were happy to get away from those teachers and principal but we would miss our class being together everyday

9. Through thick & thin we were there for each other, laughing, crying, good times and bad

Our first kiss, first boyfriends, deaths in the family or when you just needed someone to hang out with they were there. Even though we didn’t like some of our friend’s boyfriends and when someone got their first kiss we wanted to hear all about it, it was just because we were bff’s who cared about each other and told each other everything good or bad.

10. You could still call or text these girls and hangout right now after months of not seeing each other and it would be like nothing had every changed.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
