Fall is finally here, which means all of your favorite shows are returning. Nothing is better than catching up on your favorite series after a long day at work/school. A recent show, "This Is Us," is about to premiere the first episode of its second season on Tuesday, September 26th.

"This Is Us" is all about a family's journey through life and the nostalgic feelings behind what it means to be "family". If you haven't already watched Season 1, I'd highly recommend catching up before Season 2 airs! Here are a few reasons why you should be watching this show:

1. It really gives you "the feels."

If you enjoy watching shows that really get you emotional, this is a show for you. Almost every episode left me crying either from happiness or sadness. If you are looking for the perfect "rainy-day show," you've found the right series! The show starts out with four different storylines: two parents expecting triplets, a woman trying to lose weight and find love, a young man on a hit television show unsure of his future and an established businessman who is just meeting his biological father for the first time.

The two parents expecting triplets end up losing their third baby, but take home three children after adopting one of them. The end of the first episode is the first big plot twist, where you find out the triplets are all from the other storylines.

2. It shows you what family is all about.

This family is all-around a great one. This show teaches you lessons about life and family and what it truly means to love one another. Although they endure many problems (which add interest to the show), they always come out on top and allow love to rule all. One of my favorite episodes was when the whole family went to the pool on a hot day.

The adopted child, Randall, is still adjusting to growing up with white parents (he is African American). The younger girl, Kate, struggles with her weight and realizes that little girls can be mean. And the third child, Kevin, deals with the feeling of neglect from the rest of his family. The episode ends with them all learning life lessons and realizing that family is the most important thing in their lives.

3. It is very addicting and leaves you wanting more.

The plot twists in this show are unreal. You think you know how the episode is going to end, but you're most likely wrong. Each problem or occurrence is exciting and thought-provoking. The end of the season leaves you wanting to watch the next season right away. You are finally so close to finding out what really happened to Jack, the father, but don't quite get all of the details. Hopefully, we find out on September 26th!

4. It teaches you valuable lessons about life.

Whether it be loss, love, or even deciding what is right, this show teaches great lessons about life and love. The writers walk through many different problems that the characters find a way to solve. Like I said before, one of the sons, Kevin, was on a hit TV show at the beginning of the season.

When he got fed up with the show, he quit and started trying to make it as an actor in different ways. In one episode, he leaves the opening night of his play to go be with his brother, Randall, who is having a difficult time. This demonstrates the tough choices we have to make in the real world and the importance of family!

5. It is relatable.

Not only is this show exciting to watch, it is extremely relatable. Everyone has a family and everyone struggles at some point in life. This family faces some difficult times, but how they get through it is what matters most. But, that's what makes it so relatable. We learn from hardship.

Although you may not have that much time to catch up on the show before September 26th, I highly recommend catching up before you dive into Season 2. This show hits home in so many ways!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
