Wizards, witches, good guys, bad guys, and an intense battle to save the world all while maintaining friendships and (barely) doing school. J.K. Rowling takes you to another world. The funniest thing to come out of her books is the parody on YouTube.
A small group of Harry Potter loving college kids wrote and performed a parody musical of the series. With a budget of only around $150 ($50 was spent on a huge chocolate bar Ron eats), the scenery of the musical is left mostly to the imagination, but the quality of the songs and plot exceeds the cost of the production.
1. Woe is Harry
The musical picks on Harry the most, obviously, and they exaggerate his troubles of staying with the Dursley's and being an orphan, versus being cool and well-known at Hogwarts with his BFFs.
2. Hermione the nerd, geek, and cause of any problem.
Hermione is bashed on throughout the musical non-stop for being so studious and such a realist.
3. RED VINES.
What really molds Harry and Ron's friendship.
4. "My Father will hear about this"
Draco Malfoy is played by a woman, and is overdramatic in every way possible.
5. Dumbledore from Jersey: Hippie and Zac Efron lover.
Dumbledore is a chill and Zefron loving gay man...
6. Voldemort... has a heart?
Quirrel and Voldemort have a tight bond.
7. Really, really pretty... Ginny!
They make fun of how Cho Chang has blinded Harry and Ginny obviously should be his GF
It's the BEST
There are too many good lyrics, quotes, and foreshadowing to fit into one article, so I suggest that you read and watch the movies and the books, and then click on this link to nerd out and enjoy!
