Why You Should Definitely Never Go To Canda
Travelling Moods

Having grown up half an hour from away from our northern neighbors in Canada, I can honestly say that I've spent a lot of time in Maple Leaf country, and it is THE WORST. My family drives up there just to get cheese from this family-owned farm, and I'll admit, that pulling up to its red barn set in a green mountain valley makes me sick. When I was vacationing in Banff and saw the Austrian ski team getting ready to compete, I wanted to vom. I mean, why would you ever live there? Who likes publicly funded healthcare, friendly, culturally diverse citizens (ew), and Tim Hortons on every street? Here are some reasons why Canada is awful, and you should absolutely visit.

First of all, its natural beauty is so ugly.

Lake Louise, Alberta (sundxwn.tumblr.com)

I mean, just look at it

Galiano Island, British Columbia (souveneirpixels.com)

Gag me with a spoon

New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island (fineartamerica.com)

This is the ugliest effing rock pool I've ever seen

Rock Pools, Nova Scotia (amazingonlinemagazine.com)

Its cities aren't any better...

Don't even think about going downtown

Montreal, Quebec (flickr.com)

Why would you ever think this is cool?

Sky Bridge, Toronto, Ontario (500px.com)

Uh, okay Calgary

Calgary, Alberta (500px.com)

Ummm... cities are not supposed to look like this...

Saskatoon, Seskatchewan (scottprokop.com)

Oh, and Canada's quaint little towns suck too

Nelson, British Columbia (discovernelson.ca)

Stop trying to be cute, St. Andrews

St. Andrews, New Brunswick (tourismnewbrunswick.ca)

Pretty sure Banff is overcompensating for something...

Banff, Alberta (snowtime.com.br)

Looking to ski? You've come to the wrong place.

Whistler, British Columbia (radshot.com)

LOL at Revelstoke

Revelstoke, British Columbia (leavetown.com)

That looks like Mt. Doom

Mt. Norquay, Alberta (Photo by: Cuan Jooste)

Whatever, Lake Louise

Lake Louise, Alberta (banff.ca)

And WTF is with all these castles?

Victoria, British Columbia (flickr.com)

Don't think that I'm impressed, because I'm not

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Montreal, Quebec (hobomystical.tumblr.com)

Um, what even is this?

St. Jacque's Church, Montreal, Quebec (flickr.com)

Boo you, Fairmont

Fairmont Hotel, Banff, British Columbia (fairmont.com)

That is wayyyy too big

Chateau Frontenac, Quebec City, Quebec (plurdledgabbleblotchits.tumblr.com)

These apartments aren't special, period.

Montreal, Quebec (hometalk.com)

Neither is this condo

Vancouver, British Columbia (classy-inthecity.com)

And neither is this house

Prince Edward Island (lonelyplanet.com)

The restaurants suck

Trattoria Mercatto, Toronto, Ontario (studiomunge.org)

As do the horrible coffeeshops

Arbutus Coffee, Vancouver, British Columbia (jaybanks.ca)

Just ignore their horrible hidden bars

Toronto, Ontario (indie88.com)

And don't even get me started on Tim Hortons...

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
