Why I Need To Go Back To UNCW Right Now
UNCW

Since it is the middle of the summer, and the summer blues of wanting to be back at school is really starting to set in, I really cannot wait to go back to UNCW. Although it is nice to not have homework and exams to study for, I am really missing all my friends who I used to spend countless hours with and I miss Wilmington more than anything. I can't wait to be back in just a few short weeks, there are just so many things that I miss.

1. I miss the warm sand from Wrightsville Beach under my feet, especially as I watch the sun rise from the beach.

2. I miss the clock tower, especially at noon.

3. I miss Kilwin’s ice cream, and sitting by the water as I eat it.

4. I miss my college friends being down the hall since it has become difficult to keep in touch sometimes.

5. I miss midnight CookOut runs, and anyone who is an out of state student knows how much they miss CookOut too.

6. I miss Fort Fisher and playing on the rocks with my friends.

7. I miss Wake and Bake donuts.

8. I miss going on bike rides with my crazy friends at 2 am because we are bored.

9. I miss having Chick-fil-a within walking distance.

10. I miss sitting on the wooden rocking chairs outside Fisher.

11. I miss sitting in an Eno in the trees with my friends, and even somehow getting pizza delivered right to it.

12. I miss cheap movies at Sharky’s.

13. I miss sitting outside in between classes and enjoying the little bit of sun.

14. I miss going on adventures to Carolina Beach.

15. I miss everything about UNCW.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
