Michael's Death On "Jane The Virgin" Was So Heartbreaking And I'm Still Not Over It

I started watching "Jane the Virgin" about two months ago and I immediately fell in love with the show. It's comical, romantic, and dramatic all in one; I guess that's why it's a telenovela. In every television show, there is always that one character that you absolutely adore and mine was Michael Cordero, as I'm sure half of America would say the same.

Michael was the un-perfectly perfect guy. He was a detective who loved his job and worked extremely hard. He was goofy and awkward and made people laugh. He had this certain charm about him that made everyone love him even if you didn't want to, probably because he was so sure of himself. He had his flaws, just like everyone else, but that's what made Michael human.

His love story with Jane was a beautiful one, but with many bumps in the road. They met at her 21st birthday when he was sent over to her house due to a noise complaint, but things went awry and her friends thought he was a stripper and grabbed his "fake" gun and shot it into the ceiling, only to realize it was real. Jane and Michael shared their first kiss during that night. They dated for two years, he proposed, she was artificially inseminated, she had Rafael's baby, fell in love with Rafael and broke up with Michael, Jane broke up with Rafael, got back with Michael, got engaged again, and got married. No matter what, Michael was always there for Jane because he truly loved her and didn't want to give up on her.

Michael was there for Jane's many firsts and they were supposed to live a beautiful life together. They were going to have kids together and be successful in their careers--hers in writing and his as a future lawyer. Just as Michael finished taking his LSAT, he suffered from an aortic dissection due to his gun shot wound a few months back, collapsed, and died. He really did love Jane until his last breath and that scene broke my heart, especially when Jane got the phone call.

It's extremely upsetting loving a character so much, feeling like you know them, and then seeing them die on the show. I was routing for Michael and couldn't wait for a continuing story line, but after all, it is a telenovela; this had to happen.

This episode was so heartbreaking because it was so sudden and Michael was Jane's first love and we were all routing for them. Though it was heart wrenching to watch, this episode taught us a big lesson. It taught us that life is so precious and that anything can happen in the blink of an eye. Love your friends and family, be there for people, don't take anyone for granted because you never know what could happen.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
