I do not know where this obsession came from, but I am thankful that it is there. Target is one of the best department stores I know. Every time I go shopping, I want to go to Target. I will admit I have spent over $1000 a year at this amazing store. I also admit that I got my friends addicted to Target as well. There are so many reasons why I believe Target is the best store on the planet.

1. Cartwheel/ Coupons

First and foremost, no other department store that I know of has two apps. The most important one is Cartwheel. On this app, users can add coupons of the products they are shopping for and a unique bar-code that will take off the total savings all at once. This app is a life saver when you are shopping for college or a party. There are many ways of finding coupons on the app via search, categories, collections and scanning the product with your smartphone’s camera. The other great thing about this app and the coupon system at Target is that you can double up on coupons. Each item in your cart can get savings from a store coupon/cartwheel and a manufacturer coupon. This can help you save a lot of money on everyday items.

2. Great Deals

Target always has deals going on in store. Customers can find these online, in the weekly ad and in store. When you go shopping for clothing, a brand could have a buy one get one 50% off deal which can help you save money on something you were going to shop for to begin with. Another great deal is that you can bring your own reusable bags and get five cents back per bag you bring.

3. Clearance

Every time I go to Target, I go straight to the clearance rack. I have found some really cute clothes that you would not normally find in any other store. Yes, you have to go searching for it, but it is always worth it.

4. Only At Target

Target is a supplier of many products that you cannot find at other stores. Some artists record more songs for an album, like Four by One Direction, and you can only buy those CDs from Target. They also have board games in some of its vintage artwork that you can only find at Target. I do not know if this is true or not, but as of my knowledge Target is the only carrier of Cards Against Humanity, which is pretty awesome if I say so myself.

5. One Trip Pony

Target is the home of anything and everything. They have food, clothing, entertainment, and cleaning supplies all in one store. This allows customers to make one trip to get all of the products they need. Back in the day, in the ‘90s, you had to go to two or more stores to get the things you needed. Target, you are a lifesaver.

6. Target Red-Card

This department store is one of the only stores that offers a debit or credit card for customers to gain even more savings. If you are a proud owner of this card, you will get an additional five percent off your entire purchase. Another thing that makes Target so great: every time a red card is used, a percentage of the sale will go to the local schools in the area.

7. Clothing

If you love to go shopping for clothing that is in style and great quality, Target is your store. They offer the latest styles for such a reasonable price, so you are not burning a huge hole in your pocket. Every year, they partner up with a famous designer where they sell high end clothing for less.

8. Store Layout

The layout of the store makes it so convenient to shop. Every section flows into each other and nothing seems out of place. The clothing and accessories are near each other. Then it flows into the toys and entertainment sections. The next group of aisles is home good items next to the food. The beauty and medical products are near each other as well. This helps when you are shopping to make things go smoothly. I love all of the marketing that is put around the store. It always has fun, bright colors to make you happy to walk into the store. The seasonal shop by far has the best marketing and layout. Everything is accessible so you do not have to reach too high for your products.

9. Target Beauty Box

Subscription boxes have become super popular today and Target has to get in on the action. Every month they come out with a box or two that contains sample size or full size products that coincide with the season. This allows customers to test out a product and if they like it, they can go right back to Target and buy the full-size version. This box is only seven dollars a month without shipping.

Target is my favorite store on the planet. I hope after you read this, you will start to love it as much as I do.
