According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, karma is defined as “the force created by a person’s actions that some people believe causes good or bad things to happen to that person.” While it is common for people to completely disregard this phenomenon, I believe karma is 100 percent real, and here is why.
Karma is a principle that originates from the religions of Buddhism and Hinduism and describes how an individual’s overall behavior and actions will determine their destiny in a future life/existence. Although I am not from either of these religious backgrounds, I don’t think they’re necessary to living out the root fundamentals of karma. The universe is suspended in a very delicate balance of good and evil, resulting from the premeditated actions of individuals. By cultivating negative energy and expelling it out into the world, you are generating a cycle of adversity, which will ultimately come back to bite you. On the opposite spectrum, if you exude positivity and optimism into your surroundings, you will reap the benefits from your actions. I strongly believe that what you put forth into the universe is what you’ll get back, whether it be almost immediately or after a substantial period of time. From my own personal experiences, I can definitely attest to the fact being a genuine person with good intentions will get you so much farther in life. Negative people automatically attract pessimistic things, and that’s all there is to it.
Even if you still think the idea of karma is a load of crap, you can’t deny that it teaches responsibility for your actions, which is never a bad thing. Whether you’re in tune with my karmic beliefs or not, I encourage you to radiate positivity simply because you strive to be the best person you can be.
