Really, if you're going to pay to go somewhere for four years then you have every right to make a say on how to make things better, and you should. College is your home away from home. It is important that you make sure it's a good one.

Another plus with getting involved is credentials. The more you do on campus, the more you can add to your resume. Taking up important positions on campus look good on your record. They also show your willingness to work with others and be dedicated to a cause. You can also learn valuable skills by doing this. Such as leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. All of which are to your benefit and are necessary skills you will need to find a job after you're done your four years of schooling.
