Let's be honest; we all complain about school. We all hate the early waking, the homework, that annoying teacher or classmate. I know, it's all horrible, but to be honest, I'm ready to go back to school at the moment. My summer holiday ends this week and I'm actually happy about it.
I've realized I'm so not ready for a full-time job. I've worked at my student job this summer, a lot, and I'm so done with it. I know that won't be my full-time job when I graduate college, but I also missed learning new things and the atmosphere of my college. I missed the interaction with so many other people and I'm looking forward to returning to all that next week.
Second of all, I have an exciting year coming up. The first half of the year I'm participating in an international program for which I'm a buddy to the international students. There are a few students assigned to me and I'm the one who's going to teach them a bit more about the Dutch way of living. Other than that I'm (hopefully, if I'm chosen) participating in an voluntary course, it's teaching me how to look at the world and the market / branche without prejudice. We're gonna do that by going back to the mind of a child and look at our environment like a child would. Above all that I start planning my own study abroad this year, cause i will be doing that next year.
That's why going back to school isn't such a bad thing for me. I'm so ready for this year, and I'm also really excited. Surviving the first year was a pretty big step and now I'm ready for the rest. Let's go!
