Why Finals Week is Actually Amazing

Finals week is one of the most famously horrible things that college students have to deal with, and there's no arguing that at all. Everyone fights for that last seat on the quiet floor of the library, the last pump of coffee out of the dispenser and the last hours of the day to cram for their exams. Though that may feel like absolute crap, which I can confirm that it does, what people sometimes don't think about are the aspects of finals week that make up for all the hard week they just endured.

You're finally done with that awful professor. I'm certain that pretty much everyone has had a professor that they just aren't fond of. It might be how much homework they assign, how slowly they post the grades of the exams after they're done, or maybe they just happen to be a crappy person, but either way, you're done with them and you can decide whether you ever want to take a class with them again or not, which is actually awesome. Oh, and also, you can write them a really great class and professor review, and then sign it so it goes in their portfolio.

Your schedule is hopefully way less intense. Because most classes meet more than once a week, and there's only one final, your finals are condensed or spread apart the whole week, so that you have more time to cram or take some time for yourself instead of managing that crazy class schedule. Would you rather be in class, or in your pajamas, drinking cocoa, studying? I'd take studying any day.

The holidays are coming up! Even though sometimes it can be a little bit of a distraction, its great inspiration to work your ass off and head home or back to your apartment for the holidays. It's the time of winter break, so no more classes and no more homework, and back to relaxation or maybe a little bit of work. Either way, you're done with the classes that have kicked your butt for the past semester, and you can move on to better things in the new year.

No one will look at you weird if you wear your pajamas to your finals. So maybe you were really tired one day and you rolled out of bed in time for classes but didn't want to put makeup on, or put on "real" clothes, so you just go to class like that. You may have received some weird looks, and felt a little bit bad, but now that it's finals week, you're the genius that wore pajamas to class and you're basically a wizard.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
