Why The Fall Season Is The Best Season
Taylor Anne Pace

Everyone has a favorite season whether it be Summer because of the heat and pool days, Fall because of the beautiful changing colored leaves, Winter because of the white blanket of snow placed on every surface or Spring with all the rain bringing flowers back to life. No matter what season it is, when the time comes for that season to start doing it's job, you couldn't be happier.

In my case, Fall is my favorite season. Now you are probably going to say this girl is a "typical white girl" or whatever that phrase means, and say that I only like Fall because I can now wear UGG boots with my sweaters and drink, smell and experience everything pumpkin. I won't argue that I don't love those things, but at the same time, Fall is much more than walking outside in cute outfits with your pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks in your hand. Fall is breathtaking.

Why is Fall breathtaking? Well, just a few that come to mind are, the leaves, the weather in general and all the fun activities.

The leaves because you walk outside, or even sit inside and look out your window, and you see gorgeous, vibrant colors surrounding you. You see multiple shades of oranges, reds, yellows, browns and a whole bunch else. While you are taking walks outside, you hear the satisfying sound of them crunching underneath your shoes. You get to make leaf piles and jump in them with your friends and family, no matter how old you are. The leaves are what bring Fall to life.

The weather because of the air itself. During Fall, the air is crisp. It is like a little kiss from Winter without full on smooching. It draws you into a homey hug. Because of the air you get to wear slightly heavier clothing that way you stay warm, but not heavy in the fact that you will be freezing standing outside in a snow storm. The breeze carries the amazing natural scents across your nose so you can take it all in. The weather is also nice because for people who are always warm, me for example, the chiller breezes in Fall is what makes it bearable to go outside and socialize. It is much more doable than the Summer humidity and heat.

The fun activities include things like going pumpkin picking with your family. Since Halloween is in Fall, this season is when pumpkins are the best. Another fun thing is going to the cider mill, going to Haunted houses for a fun and scary night out, or even just sitting at home, cozying up by the fire with a few candles lit watching a movie. The possibilities are endless in this season. Really the only thing you can't do, well not even can't, just won't want to do is go swimming, but likely you got that sort of out of your system during the summer.

Now their are so many more reasons why to love fall and I know everyone has their own opinion on the different seasons and which one is their favorite, but hopefully this brought a few people over to the dark side. Please, you're all welcome. We have cookies, pumpkin flavored ones.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
