Over the past week, two very prominent marches have taken place in the United States of America. The March for Life in Washington DC and the Women's March in Los Angeles CA. However, over the entire year, we've seen not only these two marches take place, but protests and marches for black lives as well.
But my question is: why can't we all just march for life?
The foundation of each of these marches is humanity and life in it is entirety and equality. So why can't we all just march for life? We are all marching for equal rights. We are all standing up against prejudice and disrespect to all forms of life. But even bigger - we all claim to be marching for minorities.
Women aren't paid the same, police brutality is more prominent in black communities, and kids with an extra chromosome or conceived 'accidentally' deserve a shot at life. Women, blacks, unborn, and those with disabilities, when stepped away from and looked at are all just lives. Lives that deserve respect, attention, kindness, equal pay, benefit of the doubt, and a chance to live life fully and successfully.
So I ask again...why can't we all just march for life?
