There is one meal that tops all others throughout the day in my book and that is breakfast. No matter what time I wake up, whether it is 6 am or 12 pm, I always find time to fit breakfast into my schedule. I am horrified to hear that so many people do not enjoy breakfast on a daily basis like I do. I strongly believe that more people should consider adding breakfast to their daily routine. While you may not become a breakfast enthusiast like myself, here are 5 reasons why you should at least recognize that breakfast is, in fact, the most important meal of the day.
1. Breakfast food tastes good at any time of the day.
Whether it is 7 am or 1 am, breakfast foods always sound delicious. I cannot say the same for a salad or a hamburger. Breakfast foods like pancakes make a great morning snack or midnight snack. Also, breakfast for dinner is always an amazing meal.
2. Nothing compares to the delicious possibilities of breakfast foods.
Pancakes, crepes, french toast, omelets, the possibilities of breakfast foods are endless. There are so many delicious options it is hard to choose just one! That is why I love breakfast platters and combos because then you can have a little of everything!
3. Classic movies have relied on references to breakfast.
"Breakfast at Tiffany’s" and "The Breakfast Club" just would not have the same charm without the reference to breakfast foods in their titles. Lunch at Tiffany's just would not be the same.
4. Eating breakfast every day will actually make you healthier in the long run.
Eating breakfast every morning can help to speed up your metabolism and make you healthier in the long run. Many people skip breakfast to avoid the extra calories; however, doing so will actually hurt your health more than it will help. Also, choosing healthy breakfast options can also help with weight loss.
5. Many breakfast foods are easy to make and affordable.
Breakfast foods take minimal preparation time for the most part. There are so many easy recipes online that almost anyone can make. Also, breakfast is much cheaper than other meals so going out to breakfast instead of lunch or dinner can save you some serious cash.
All of the breakfast haters out there need to take a step back and realize, breakfast is truly the best meal of the day. Not only does it hold nutritional value and make you healthier in the long run, but its tastes are unmatched by any other meal. Seriously consider adding breakfast to your morning routine and start your day off on a delicious and nutritious note.
