When you and your friends are planning to go out, two of the most important questions are: "How are we going to get there?" and "How are we going to get back?" Sure, you can always call an Uber but not every college student is made of money (even if it's just $5). Whether you take turns or just offer, there is usually a designated driver. While that sounds pretty boring, sometimes being the DD is more fun than you would think. Here's why.
1. You get to people watch (and remember all of it).
2. You will be called an angel or someone's savior at least three times because you are bringing them home.
3. You get to make a fool out of yourself and probably no one will notice.
4. You can save your friends from making terrible mistakes... like that guy over there.
5. If you offer to buy drunk people food, there's a chance they will buy some for you.
6. You don't have to dress up.
7. You get to handle the aux cord.
8. You won't consume the calories from alcohol.
9. You can remind people of all the funny/embarrassing things they did.
10. You won't have to be reminded and so you will regret nothing.
11. You wake up with no hangover.
Everyone should go out and try to be the DD; not only will you be the responsible one to watch out for your friends and others, but you may end up having a great time!
