I'm a Girl's Girl. What does that mean? When basically I've got a few girl gangs I hang with. When I see a girl I don't know crying outside a bar I go comfort her. When girls say they have only guy friends, I don't truly understand how.

Sure, I have a few guy friends (probably a very limited amount compared to most girls and most of whom are gay) and in no way do I think hanging with all dudes is bad. Maybe, it's because I never had brothers, but I genuinely always gravitate towards making friends with girls.

The girl that knows no one at a party? I'm the first to bond with her and end up being best friends by the end of the night. I wouldn't be any other way than being a "Girl's Girl" too honestly. When other ladies say, "girls suck" or "all girls are mean" haven't gotten a chance to love on our sisters from other misters. While I agree girls can be hurtful and unkind to one another, (trust me my girl gang turned on me in 6th grade and it still has scared me for life) just know that taking time to get to know and hang with your girlfriends makes life way more fun, take it from me.

1. Your ladies always got your back

How many times have you asked for a tampon in a stall and you have 5 volunteers suddenly giving up an extra one? If you're like me and can't curl your hair or apply eyeliner, you can always count on a personal stylist to have your back. Got food in your teeth? Homegirl going to pick it out for you. And if the guy and the bar are being creepy, ( not cute, you're just too drunk to tell) count on your girlies to steer you clear.

2. Girl Code

Your friends are always going, to be honest with you and tell you like it is. They are ready to be secret agents, your personal bodyguard, or nurse you back to health at any given time. Need a shoulder to cry on? An honest opinion? A bottle of wine delivery service? Now that's Girl Code.

3. Girls just want to have fun

Nothing beat getting ready with your girlies, singing Justin Timberlake throwback songs, and drinking some giggle juice for a fun night out. Girls turn wine nights into dance parties. Ending a night out at 24-hour diner can seem like an adventure. Girls are always the one to start the party at any get-together. As Shania would say, "The best thing about being a woman...Is the prerogative to have a little fun."

4. They make you confident

No one likes a friend that makes them feel like crap. A good Girl's Girl knows how to make her BFF or a random stranger feel like Beyonce. No compliment is better than a girlfriend telling you how amazing, strong and beautiful you are.

5. Empowerment

Seeing your girls or random girls you don't even know thrive in life should make you proud and want to do the same. If your friends get an A on the test she studied her butt off for hit the library with her next time. If yo sista just found her soul mate, you have a new found hope true real love does exist. When you BFF does has her hair looking hella good, let her tell you her secrets. When girls do great things, it inspires and instills greatness in you.

So, take a look around and appreciate the girlies around you. Support, cherish and know the true happiness of being friends with other ladies on the block.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
