It is definitely clear that girls tend to watch "The Bachelor" for the obvious reason of watching a hot guy, like Ben Higgins, who is looking for love. It is easy to put yourself in one of the girls' point of views and pretend that he's falling for you. This show is for all of the hopeless romantics out there who just wanna be seen as "lovable."
1. It turns Monday :( into MONDAY! :)
Most people hate Mondays. They dread having to go back to work or school, even though this day comes around every week. It seems as though everyone shares a common bad attitude on Mondays. That is, unless you watch "The Bachelor"! It comes on every Monday and personally, it gives me a reason to look forward to Mondays.
2. It helps people bond.
Many times you can ask a girl if she likes to watch "The Bachelor" and it will immediately start a conversation that can last forever. Every once in a while, there will be a guy that shares how much he likes watching it, too. I mean, what guy wouldn't want to watch a ton of pretty girls on TV? This begins weekly viewing parties in someones living room where everyone shares their opinions on girls like Lace, Olivia, and the twins.
3. It restores our hope for love.
Some may be focused on the fact that this is a TV show and some of it might be staged. Some may question how do these people "fall in love" in such a short amount of time? Regardless of these beliefs, the majority of people get so into this show. They see someone who is looking for someone to spend the rest of their life with, which is what most people want if they don't already have it. It makes us believe that love can happen with the right person, and that there are still great people in this world.
4. It's a great distraction.
Most people that watch this show are either high schoolers, college students, or moms. Because many of these people are in school, watching "The Bachelor" gives them at least an hour a week to avoid doing their homework and focus on other peoples' drama. It's crazy how much we enjoy seeing other peoples' dramatic lives.
No matter what reason you like watching the show each week, it is a fantastic show for hopeless romantics that can't wait to find the love of their life. If you don't already watch it, grab some of your closest friends (guys or girls) and plan on watching at least one episode. I can almost guarantee that you'll be hooked.
