How I Met Your Mother is a classic tale of five friends, all very different in personality. And I am sure there is one you relate to more than the others so now it's time to put that to the test and see if you really have the same personality as them.

Ted Mosby

Such a romantic. Ted is so caught up in the concept of finding his future wife, hence the name of the show, that he sometimes doesn’t look up to really see what he has going for him. While the effort he puts into his relationships is admirable, it could also be detrimental. If you are the hopeless romantic type, then you might be a Ted. I admire the dedication and time you put into each relationship and friendship, however, be sure not to push too hard. While the effort is key when dating, it can be harmful to the relationship if you change who you are. So, for all the Teds out there, keep doing what you are doing, but don’t become someone you’re not!

Robin Scherbatsky

While Robin comes off as closed off and independent, she actually has more in common with Ted than you might think. The personality she shows to the world is one often used to hide the fact that she actually cares in order to avoid getting hurt. However, it is often revealed that she truly does care about those around her, especially her friends. So if you find yourself to be a romantic who at the same time is afraid to show it, you might just be a Robin. If you are, it might be in your best interest to let your guard down a little. Don’t be so unapproachable, it might just work out in your favor.

Barney Stinson

Barney, Barney, Barney…. The ultimate anti-relationship man. Barney focuses all of his time on his job and picking up girls. Quite the opposite of his pal, Ted Mosby, Barney never has and never will focus on his relationship status or his future on the mater of who he will marry or spend the rest of his life with. So if you’re the type who would rather focus on your career than your relationships, and you enjoy the “dating game” more than the idea of actually dating someone, and you will never walk out the door without first “suiting up”, then you might just be a Barney Stinson. If you are a Barney be sure not to be blinded by your own desire for independence and cut off those closest to you.

Lily Aldrin

Lily is the cutie pie of the group. While she may not have the gorgeous looks of Robin, she does manage to keep Marshall head over heals for her. She is bubbly but also has a head on her shoulders. And whenever something goes wrong, she is always your go-to girl because of her motherly instincts and unconditional desire to help others. If you are the girl next door type who loves all things cute then you might just be a Lily and you will find your Marshall (if you haven't already). The best advice for a Lily is to make sure you keep supporting everyone else and being the angel you are. But also, make sure to take some time for yourself. Oh, and if you do meet your Marshall, never let him go.

Marshall Eriksen

Big brains and an even bigger heart. Marshall is the kind of guy who everyone wants to be around. If you are a Marshall, you are probably already in or planning to go to some type of graduate school. You are also, often the base of your friend group. While you may not be the life of the party, and you are way more responsible than most, you have a big heart and it does not go unnoticed. You lead the kind of life that all parents would be proud of. My best advice to you is to keep your feet on this perfect path, but don't forget to make time for the ones who are most important to you. You are a catch and if you haven't met your Lily already, you will and you must remember to find time for her and make sure she doesn't feel overshadowed by your perfection.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
