We often only see what others portray as their appearance to be, but never really stop to ask them how they are doing or what we need to be in prayer for.
This past week I've been challenged to express my voice about finding contentment. Whether you are struggling at home, finding a job, what college to go to, finding that right person to fall in love with, where the next step is leading for your future. The future can be a scary place, don't get me wrong. As much as we talk about how excited we are to do this... or do that... Eventually we all hit rock bottom as to where to go to next. We are never fully satisfied with what we have. We are never content with about how our lives are.
But the thing is, God wants you to find contentment in Him. This is where you have to stop wishing, waiting, and having the desire for more. Turn to Him, and pray that you realize the value of contentment that He has for you.
Even the richest person that may have everything from a man's perspective, can still be wanting more, lusting after more. Even when you have nothing but a shirt on your back, and a smile on your face.. Are you content with how your daily living is? Are you okay with just being happy knowing that you are alive.
That is our problem. We are constantly wanting the best of the best. But where does it end?
When do you find contentment with how things are in your life, even if you don't have the up-to-date phone, the newest car edition, the fashionable clothes, the fanciest house. Where is your contentment found?
You are not going to find it in worldly things, you are not going to find it in the girl you have been chasing since third grade or that guy who sits behind you in class, you are not going to find it in being the best of the best. The only place that you are going to find contentment is in the arms of Christ.
So the question is, where have you placed your characteristic of contentment, and are you truly content with where you are?
