Where Has God Gone?

How can we TRULY Make America Great Again.

The title speaks for its self. With all the hatred and malice running around America a lot of people have asked the questions "Where is God?" or "Why has God turned his back on America?" If you understand scripture at all those types of questions should make you cringe, because God has never turned his back on America! He is always with us no matter what! We live in a country that grants us freedom of speech and religion, but as Christians we have been conditioned to down play our calling which is to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). As a Christian your standard of love comes from the love God the father has for us. God loved us so much he sent his son to Earth to die for our sins so that we may be saved and have ever lasting life (John 3:16), but in today's society the love of God is absent from everyday life. We, as Christians have become ashamed of speaking about the gospel, and look at what is going on in America. With Godly love comes understanding which is something America is severely lacking. With the lack of love and exposure America has become a country that has put God on the back burner and that is a big issue. You should never put someone who is all powerful on the sidelines, because when you do events like the shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge happen.

We can talk about how we need more gun control, or better training for police officers. We can talk about "Black lives Matter", "Cop lives Matter", and "All lives matter". It doesn't matter because the more we avoid turning to God, and understanding what TRUE love, the more violence and hatred will occur. J.R.R. Tolkein once said that "It is usless to meet revenge with revenge; it will heal nothing". And that is so true. If you fight fire with fire you only create a bigger fire, but for some reason people insist on turning to violence to try and solve the issues at hand.

A cop kills a black man. Okay, we know that in order for that to be justifiable the cop must have sound reasoning and when he doesn't is when it becomes an issue, but we should not revolt against any human being because they don't have sound reasoning. We must attempt to help them attain sound reasoning for their actions, not try and get pay back for their mistake. Martin Luther King Jr. once said that "Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. I am not unmindful of the fact that violence often brings about momentary results. Nations have frequently won their independence in battle. But in spite of temporary victories, violence never brings permanent peace." The only way we can resolve these acts of violence is to love one another as Christ did. We can talk politics all we want, but it will never be a permanent fix to the issues at hand. The only way to permanently fix the issues at hand is to love. Unfortunately in today's society we don't understand true love because it is frowned upon to speak of the gospel of Christ.

You can pray all you want for the people involved with these issues, but pray cannot take place of action. We must rise up everyday and love everyone. Without it we will continue to kill one another and ask "Where is God?"

God never left. We stopped talking to him. Lets stop being ashamed. Start speaking the truth, and start loving each other the way Christ did! Amen! And Amen!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
