Hey, overly caffeinated, fast-talking pop culture nerds! Grab a cup of coffee and all the junk food your heart desires because the "Gilmore Girls" are coming back! Last week, rumors broke that Netflix is teaming up with "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino to revive the beloved series in four 90-minute episodes, and while the show’s stars have yet to officially confirm their returns to the revival, the idea of Lorelai and Rory once again gracing our screens and our hearts is enough to make us excitedly squeal along to the show’s theme song. (Cue Carole King’s “Where You Lead.”)
The revival will take place eight years after the show’s finale, and a lot has surely changed in Stars Hollow since we last saw Lorelai and Rory. Fans both new and old have a number of questions they hope are answered about our favorite mother-daughter duo (Did Lorelai and Luke have their happily-ever-after? Did Rory become best friends with Michelle Obama??), but what about the show’s minor characters? What's happened to our favorite, lesser-known but just-as-lovable Stars Hollow residents?
Here are some questions that will hopefully be answered in the "Gilmore Girls" Netflix revival:
1. Did Kirk and Lulu ever get married?
Amongst the several tumultuous throughout the original run of "Gilmore Girls," Kirk and Lulu stand as a shining – and quirky -- beacon of relationship idealism. Lulu is as sweet as pie, and Kirk is the most eccentric of the many eccentrics Stars Hollow offers, and they complement one another perfectly. All a Gilmore-lover can hope is that they ended up happy, because they certainly deserve all the happiness Kirk’s many odd jobs can provide.

2. Did Taylor Doose ever get elected into an actual government office?
It may take a whole village to raise a child, but it takes Taylor Doose to raise Stars Hollow. Without Taylor, there’d be no Festival of Living Art, no Christmas pageant, no Firelight Festival, and certainly no weekly town meetings. He owns the town’s premier grocery store (Doose’s Supermarket), built and opened his own ice cream store (Taylor’s Old Fashion Soda Shoppe), and organizes all of the town’s major events. Taylor did serve as town selectman for a period of time, but his go-getter personality could serve the state of Connecticut well. Maybe he can run for Senator in the revival?

3. Did the town troubadour ever get a record deal?
All he ever wanted was to share his music with the world, and though he certainly caused controversy in Stars Hollow, the town troubadour, whose real name is Grant, definitely had some musical chops. Hopefully, his music made it past the town gazebo and into the office of a record label. We can always dream.

4. What ever happened to the town loner?
Yes, the enigmatic town loaner only appeared for one episode (Season 3, “Take the Deviled Eggs”), but his legacy has impacted the town of Stars Hollow forever. We may never know his name, where he came from, or what he was protesting, but we can always wonder. And who knows? Maybe he’ll make an appearance in the revival.

These are only a few of the many lovable characters that inhabit our favorite New England small town, and hopefully, the revival will tell us where they are and what they've done over the past eight years. Until then, we'll just have to wait patiently as we binge-watch the original series.
