You ever feel like you just don;t have anything left to give? Your patienced out, loved out, helped out, and timed out.. Your cup is empty. Yeah me too.
Maybe it seems like everything that could go wrong and would go wrong has gone wrong. Maybe you've been running nonstop and can't remember the last time you had a moment just to breathe. If that's you, don't feel alone, my friend. We all spend more time there than our perfect social media accounts would really like to admit.
I think we think there's something wrong with an empty cup, but what happens to an empty cup? Eventually, it gets filled. That's what it's made for; am I right? Being empty means you've given everything you have. You've come to the end of yourself.
You are empty, and we've been taught that empty is a bad thing. Society says that we should be full. Our wallets should be full. Our houses should be full. But we've gotten a little mixed up somewhere along the way.
Yeah, if your cup is empty, and that cup just belongs to you, you're in for some trouble bud. But if you bring that empty cup before the Lord, it changes everything. He wants to refill your cup. He wants to renew your strength and speak to your heart. He wants to fill you with joy and hope and love. He wants your cup to overflow with blessings on blessings on blessings.
But sometimes for your cup to be filled, it has to be emptied first. So if your cup is empty, and your strength is weary, don't be discouraged. Bring what you have to the table. Bring that empty cup, and expect it to be filled beyond the desires of your heart.
