We live in a world where everyone has a cell phone. We spend hundreds of dollars on devices that make us feel connected to the rest of the world. Whatever happened to getting a paper delivered to our doorstep to know what is happening in the world? What happened to making a scrapbook to remember good times? We all have adapted to not only own a cell phone in case of emergencies, but to have one that's basically an extension of our bodies. Even though they are an attachment to our bodies, they are not actually attached, so we run into issues like breaking or losing our phones. These are the things that happen when we break or lose our phones.
11 things that happen when you break your phone:
1. You stare at the phone face down on the ground with large eyes and a dropped jaw.
2. You mutter to yourself, "This isn't happening; this isn't happening."
3. You look at your phone, and it's completely shattered.
4. You silently sob to yourself for a while.
5. You continue to sob to yourself, but it's a lot less silent.
6. "I only have five dollars in my bank account. How am I going to get this fixed?"
7. "What if a hot man is texting me and I can't see it?"
8. "Yeah, that's probably not happening, ever."
9. You go back to sobbing, not just because your phone is shattered, but also because no hot men are texting you.
10. You think to yourself, 'I should have had a case on it.'
11. You realize that this is all your fault. If you hadn't been so obsessed with the rose gold color of your brand new iPhone 6s plus, and had put the case you paid $50 for on the phone, this would have never happened.
14 things that happen when you lose your phone:
1. You reach for your phone to see if anyone is trying to text you, even though you know no one is.
2. There is nothing in any of your pockets, and you realize the worst thing has happened; you lost your phone.
3. You check all of your surroundings to see if you set it down somewhere.
4. You ask the first person you see, "Can you call my phone?"
5. They call, but nothing happens.
6. You remember you left your phone on silent.
7. You begin to panic.
8. You try to retrace your steps.
9. You ask the same person to call your phone again.
10. You start to hear your phone vibrating from under a couch cushion.
11. You realize that you were just hearing things.
12. You come to the conclusion that your life is over and there is no hope in finding your phone.
13. Someone approaches you, asking, "Is this your phone?"
14. You are embarrassed for freaking out about your lost phone that was just sitting in plain sight.
