Theatre has been something that has became a big part of my life. Now that the year is coming to an end, I will have to say goodbye to some seniors who have made a big impact on my life and my career in the theatre. The curtain will close on their time here at Carson-Newman on the Gentry stage, but their legacy and memories will live on.
To Amie: Thank you for being the first person to welcome me to the cast of "Guys and Dolls." If it wasn't for your optimism and supportive words, I would not be where I am today.
To Greg: Thank you for always trying to push me to be better. Whether that be singing, dancing or even acting, you tell me to do my best and that's the best I can do.
To Jay: Thank you for always being there with a smile and a joke. Thank you for always dancing to music with everyone on work days, and for always greeting me with a smile.
To JJ: Thank you for teaching me the importance of being on time.
To Kelseigh: Thank you for always supporting me. Thank you for every encouraging word and every hug.
Every senior put in the effort of welcoming new members to the theatre family whether they were a theatre major or not. Theatre is a family. Though some of you will be moving on to the next step of your lives, we will always be a theatre family. Though the curtain finally closes here at CN, you will always be welcomed with open arms. Thank you seniors for all the lessons, all the laughs, all the tears and all the hugs. Theatre will not be the same with out you, so take your final bow and wave to the audience, for your theatre family will always be your number one fan!
