When God Gives You A Little Sister

They are your best friend and worst enemy at the same time.

When God Gives You A Little Sister

A lot of people have younger siblings, whether it’s a brother or a sister. You learn to love them and accept the fact that they are going to be in your life for the rest of your life. Having a little sister is one of the best and worst things to happen. They are there to annoy you when you don’t want it and they are there to be your best friend when you need it the most. No matter what, getting a little sister is one of the best things about my life.

First of all, thank you, mom and dad, for giving me a lifelong best friend who knows how to push all of my buttons. Having a little sister has taught me how to be mad one second and be laughing to the point of crying the next. There will be no one who comes into my life who will be able to compare to my sister. She is my best friend, my worst enemy and my biggest supporter. No matter where life takes us, I know that she is only a phone call away and that she will always have my back.

Growing up with her wasn’t always the easiest, but we have learned how to love one another and how important we are to one another. No one knows how crazy my family is better than her and no one knows how important they are either. Thank you for being there to go on random shopping trips to target and driving around until our favorite song ends. Thank you for being just as weird as me and accepting my quirks. Thank you for putting up with all of the nonsense of me leaving for college and thank you for choosing to come to the same school as me so we can hang out. I love you and could not have asked for a better person to call my lifelong best friend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
