What Is Your Plan?

How many times have you been asked about your plan?

What Is Your Plan?
Two Roads

What is your plan? All throughout high school, you were asked the same question again and again. What is your plan? Where are you going to school? What do you plan to major in? What do you plan on doing after school? Now you're in college, and you're still getting asked the same questions.

So, what is your plan?

Do you plan on starting your own business? Do you plan on joining a large company and living in the city? Or do you plan on living in the country of mountains where it's a quieter, simpler life? What is your plan? Are you going to get married? Have a family? What are your plans financially? Have you thought about those plans?

It can be overwhelming.

Plans are important to have. Without plans and goals, what would we be working towards? When a plan is set, we are able to achieve our goals and be successful.

But what about your plan? The plan you have no say or control over?

I'm talking about God's plan. We can plan our whole lives out, but there's no guarantee it's going to work out exactly how we want. You can plan out your career and what you're going to make and where you're going to live.

But your plan is not His plan.

His plan is something you can't even begin to imagine. His plan is something greater than anything you can think of. His plan is for you to love. Love with all your soul, strength and mind. Love your neighbors as yourself. Love your enemy and pray for those that don't know how to pray. Love those that don't have a plan and don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.

His plan is going to shower you with wealth. His plan will leave you so rich in His word, you'll want to shout it from the mountains. His plan is beyond anything we can ever dream or hope for. His plan will guide us by still waters. His plan will protect us. His plan will prosper. His plan will is greater than any other.

His plan will allow you to guide. His plan will make disciples. His disciples will thirst for more knowledge as they walk in His steps, bringing others alongside them. His plan will change your life. His plan will change the world.

We can plan out as much or as little as we want. We can plan out tomorrow or we can plan out five years. But His plan is set. His plan is right and His plan is good. Are you ready for your plan? Are you ready for your plans to shift as His come into play? His arms are open and waiting. Are you ready?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
