Before we know it, the year 2017 will be put into a box, locked and squared away and we'll all begin to meander through the newly incoming year of 2018. Before we do, I think it's rather important to delve into what we wish to leave back in 2017 and what we, hopefully, will follow us into the brighter (and badder) year of 2018.
Okay it's getting old now. We're in our early 20s now and you most definitely don't have to see anyone you don't want to anymore.
I've said this more than a few times and it's this: the more we grow up, the less of a desire we have to be in the company of, to put it bluntly, people we don't care for. Whether or not it's a friendship, a relationship or just random acquaintances that leave you feeling even more unfulfilled than before you spoke to them, once this certain realization slap you right across the face, you'll know to cease all contact once and for all and go your separate ways. 2017 is the year to do so because after this year, we're only a mere 2 years away from the whopping 2020. Do we really want to enter into such a big year like 2020 still associating ourselves with people that bring us down when we can actively do something about that?
It's time to be educated on what's going on in our current events because what happens in politics affects us more and more as we grow older and as more years go by. All in all, being able to leave behind the inability to learn more.
Whatever's happening in this day and age is both alarming and tragic and it's all become such a vicious cycle of repetitive events. It's better to be educated on what will potentially be affecting us rather than sit idly by, waiting for the worst to hit us and our generation as a whole. We should be bringing along the knowledge of what we know to be right and just over to 2018 to make it a positive, more stronger year in terms of bettering the society we live in.
Get past the notion that you're only worthy if there's someone of the opposite gender to tell you that you are.
This was quirky and somewhat acceptable when you were in grade school but in the year of 2018, a lot of people I know are my age or close to it, which means we're all roughly in similar situations. As a result, it's extremely crucial to understand that you're a kick*ss 21-year-old who needs no man.
With a new year comes a new change (or several changes).
New opportunities for growth. For inner change. For inner peace. These are all things almost everyone in the world strives to achieve, or at least strives to learn in what ways they wish to reach them. If not in 2017, why shouldn't 2018 be that year to potentially turn everything around to bring forth the change we so desperately wished to bring in the past years we vowed to?
