Sometimes I wonder why people find the need to hate. OK, I get it, I get that we are all human and I get that there are some days where we just cannot handle the ignorance or the irritation caused by others; but that doesn't mean being a hateful person who spews nothing but negative energy is the answer or solution to someone's one day of feeling irritated. Relax.
What I really do want to understand though is, if something bad happens to one person, whether they failed that one pre-calc final that they had been studying so hard for or someone's grandma got a flat tire, does that one person honestly think that lashing out at someone else is really going to make their situation any better? It sounds so corny, but two wrongs have never and will never make a right, no matter how hard one may try. You lost the soccer game? So what? You got one D? Big deal, you'll get an A the next time. You forgot to close the garage? It's OK, just drive back and click the button to close it. What I personally want people to understand is that it's OK for things to go wrong. Perfection isn't what we as individuals should be striving for. If anything, we should embrace the fact that the idea of imperfection takes play in this life, and that the beauty of having quirks and having rough days and learning how to overcome those rough days is a trait that "perfection" does not have.
I feel like ever since the beginning of time, congregating love and peace together into the same room per se has been quite the battle for anyone who has tried to do just that. After listening to the news and just visually seeing all of the hate and anger that this world is so eager to offer, I can't help but wonder, if it's that easy to send out such unwelcoming and malicious vibes, why can it not be just as easy, if not easier, to send out signs of warmth and wholesomeness? I promise, it really, really is not that hard.
I do not want to be a spokesperson for being Ms. Perfect or some sort of hypocrite for that matter, because I'm not gonna lie, I do have those days where I just "can't," if you will and just don't want to deal with the world and I feel like the whole universe is working against me. But what I want that same world to realize is, there's a difference between being human and just simply being a monster.
I'm not saying that if you lash out at your sister or brother for stealing your phone charger or if you freak out for getting a parking ticket that you think you don't deserve you're a bad person, because you're not. Not at all, not even in the slightest. What I'm saying is that, maybe, if this world can try and come together as one and as it should be, replacing the easiness of hatred and anger with love and peace can be a goal that truly makes this world a better place as cliche as that sounds.
Life is beautiful and so are its imperfections. Our goal as one should not be "to be perfect," but to be imperfect together.
