Are you on campus for the next, I don't know... eight hours before your next class? That's the case for me every week here. Every Wednesday I have class from 9:20 a.m. until 10:27 a.m. Then my next class is at 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This means that between these two classes I have about eight hours to spare. There is no point for me to go home since I live about 20 minutes away. Is this the same case for you and you don't know what to do on days like this? Here are eight things I do to spend those eight hours:
1. Work on your homework or other assignments
It's college. No professor will let you go easily without assigning something throughout the semester. If you have time, starting an assignment, essay, or project ahead of time. Trust me, this really helps if you step ahead of the class.
2. Take a nap
This is the best time to take a nap! Just find a comfy spot and put your head down and sleep. You'll feel more focused and refreshed for your next class. If you don't know where to nap or need ideas of comfy places to nap, read my article on 6 Places to Nap on a College Campus by clicking here .
3. Read a book.
Just grab a book, kick back, relax, and read.
4. Binge-watch your new favorite show on Netflix.
I have so many shows to catch up on. If you don't have any assignments to work on or you don't want to catch some sleep. Might as well watch something on Netflix. I suggest "New Girl," "Dare Devil," "Jessica Jones," "Arrow," "Flash," or even "Pretty Little Liars." BTW, PLL finally revealed A before their season break this season. I'm not giving you any spoilers, so you're going to have to find that out yourself.
5. Go to the movies.
You can watch a movie in those eight hours at the movie theater. There are many movies which are about to come out. I am looking forward to watching "Deadpool," "Jungle Book," "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice," and of course, "Captain America: Civil War."
6. Go out for lunch...maybe dinner?
There are so many restaurants around the campus area to dine in with a couple friends if they've got the time. You can also go yourself and enjoy some personal time where all you have is you and food!
7. Shopping
I love going shopping. Especially when I have nothing to do. Find the nearest shopping mall or center and just browse around. Maybe you'll find something that you really like.
8. Hang out with friends
No matter what you do, it's always nice to find some friends to just chill with in between your classes during break. Text them and see who is available.
In the end, there is always room for adventure in between your classes if you're willing to go any route during those hours between your classes. So head on out and figure out what you want to do when there is nothing to do.
