What Paris Has Done To Me

You have my heart, Paris.

What Paris Has Done To Me

I have always had a yearning to travel. The word "wanderlust" was used in my vocabulary often, but something happened this summer that changed it all.

As I am writing this article, I am sitting in my hotel bed staring out at the most perfect view and watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle in the night. Never have I ever seen anything more beautiful, but the awe continued.

From the rich culture to the fashion, the dramatically beautiful architecture to the immense history—Paris, you have it all, and you have my heart.

I have always been a city girl. I go to school in a beautiful city, and it amazes me more every day, but I fear Paris may change that. I may look at things differently and I may compare…Well, I definitely will, but how could I not?!

Now, I know I am not the only one in love with Paris, and I know there are people that hate it, but this is the point I am trying to make. Go on a journey, whether it's 3,000 miles away or five minutes in your car. Go somewhere new and take a moment to appreciate what you see. Don't let the world distract you from the true beauty it holds, and just find a place that makes your heart full and never forget all it has to offer. Once you realize that there are things in this world that will instantly take your breath away, use that feeling to appreciate what you see every day where you are that others don't and you might just find yourself a little bit happier than before. Find yourself a little bit of Paris—it's somewhere out there and for all you know, it may not be too far. Just for once, stop what you are doing and pay attention. So, thank you Paris, for opening my eyes and letting me see beauty along with what I take for granted.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
