What National Park Are You?

Let's face it, we heart our Parks. What if we could be one?

What National Park Are You?

Don’t we all just love our National Parks? I mean, I know I do. Wouldn’t it be so cool to find your perfect Park match? Well, wait no longer (drum roll please)… Here you are!

1.) Are you a little fiery and way too hot for your own good? Do you have something just waiting to blow underneath you all the time? Do you tend to explode all over people?

Then you must be… Hawaii Volcanoes National Park!

2. ) Do you like to think of yourself as the most majestic person you’ve ever known? Are you sharp on the edges? Is lightning attracted to you?

Then you must be… Grand Teton National Park!

3.) Are you so deep that people get lost in your marvelous depths? At your worst moments, when you’re completely out of energy, do you say, “Damn!” a lot? Do you do whatever floats everyone’s boat?

Then you must be… Grand Canyon National Park!

4.) Are you everyone’s rock? Does everyone just friggin’ adore you? Do you constantly find photos of yourself posted on the Internet?

Then you must be… Yosemite National Park!

5.) Are you ultra supportive? Are you super slick? Do you despise people who burn all their bridges?

Then you must be… Arches National Park!

6.) Do you drop jaws? Are you a little red in the face, but super charming anyway? Do you like to drop off the face of the earth sometimes?

Then you must be… Zion National Park!

7.) Are you demanding and unforgiving? Do people from Seattle totally gush over you? Do you have people climbing all over you in the early AM hours?

Then you must be… Mount Rainier National Park!

8.) Do you tend to melt in the sun? Do you hate global warming with a burning, melting passion? Do you feel like you’re just surrounded by a bunch of angry bears all the time?

Then you must be… Glacier National Park!

9.) Are you crazy tall? Do you have slimy creatures growing on your feet? Do you have a really big trunk... and do people like it a little too much?

Then you must be… Redwood National Park!

10.) Are you a little mushy, soft on the inside, but pretty shallow? Do you tend to have things bite you in the butt when you’re swimming in uncharted water?

Then you must be… Everglades National Park!

11.) Do you achieve great heights? Do you like to wear white tops? Can you be found in the remote backcountry most of the time? Are your peaks totally rockin’?

Then you must be… Denali National Park!

12.) Are you pretty edgy? Do you sometimes feel like you’re from another planet? Are your outfits always “on point?” Is everyone you know tall, red, and handsome?

Then you must be… Bryce Canyon National Park!

13.) Are you bubbly? Are you the most popular one, you know, are you.. kind of a big deal? Do you like to vent? But, do you get angry and blow a spout too often?

Then you must be… Yellowstone National Park!

And now, I suggest that you go visit your National Park, and celebrate the Centennial! But, don’t forget: don’t pet the bison, don’t put the bison in your car, don’t drive too fast, don’t feed the bears, don’t feed the anything, don’t vandalize anything, don’t traumatize any rangers, and have fun!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
