What I Love About Being American

What I Love About Being American

Some see Americans as overweight and selfish. I see us as kind and caring people. Here are some reasons why I love being American.

1. Freedom

We may have to fight for it but, we still are lucky to have it. God bless everyone who has served this country and continues to.

2. Women's Rights

Although there is still a gap between male and female pay, American woman have many more rights then, women in some other countries. We are allowed freedom of speech and are held at the same respect level. Everyday we continue to move forward on tightening the pay gap and we will succeed.

3. Patriotism

Americans have major pride for their country. We are a hardworking country who works to improve many areas of living including technology.

4. Diversity

We are a country made with people of different nationalities who all have united to build a great nation. America has the best of both worlds with a variety of culture.

5. Sights

We have gorgeous views in this country including: Mt. Rushmore and the Grand Canyon.

6. Health Advancements

Americans invest in science and are working to better our country for the next generations to come. Everyday we are getting closer and closer to finding cures for cancer.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
