What It's Like To Be An Older Sister

Happiness is having brothers & sisters

Maybe you know, maybe you don't. You may be the oldest, you may be in the middle. If you have younger siblings, this is for you.

I am the oldest of many siblings, but I won't go into details of my crazy family. What is it like to be the oldest?

It's being a lifetime role model for all of your younger siblings. You are set to high standards, more is expected of you than your younger siblings, and sometimes it gets to be stressful.

Throughout my life, I never really appreciated having so many siblings. Now that I'm 20 years old, I don't have to see them all, every minute of every day, I enjoy them much more.

My most favorite thing about them is that you truly don't know how much they look up to you and watch you. The other day I was on the phone with my one of my sisters and she asked, "how was your workout today?"

SERIOUSLY!?

To me, it is awesome how much they watch and know about the healthy changes I have made in my life over the past two years.

Another one of my sisters started college this year, also and has asked me to help her to start living a healthier lifestyle. She made a cute little post on Instagram that said," I couldn't have asked for a better sister. I want to thank you for being an inspiration. Seeing you change for the better has made me extremely happy to do the same. Thank you for believing in me, you don't know how much I appreciate it #bestsister"

If you wanna talk about an overload of happiness, here's mine.

Siblings are great and I have some of the greatest.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
