Recently, I attended a concert in St. Louis, a show a part of the Grow Wild Tour. The Grow Wild Tour usually takes place in the summertime starting in May. On there second year, they almost doubled the number of acts on the tour, going from five acts to nine. The lineup for this year's tour originally included: The House on Cliff, Will Jay, Rivers Monroe, James Barre, Bad Feelings, Ben Hazelwood, Zach Matari, Round 2 Crew and Dylan "Deezy" Holland.

Going into the concert, I was only a fan of two of the nine artists/bands. However, coming out of it, I was a fan of almost all the acts. All of the performers did a phenomenal job and were really kind people. They were all more than willing to sign CD's and other merch as well as take photos with us. The experience I had while there was more than I could ever ask for, once in a lifetime.

While I had a wonderful time at the concert, it should be known that I attended the third show of thirty, so I got to go while it this year's tour was still starting. Now, life happens and not everything can go as planned. This happened last year with certain artists not being able to finish the tour because they got themselves into a messy situation or because there were family issues, so they had to be gone for a little while. It's sad to say, but this is happening this year too. At this point, two of the nine artists/bands have already left the tour for good after only performing four of the originally thirty planned shows. Another artist also has taken a temporary leave because of family issues, but will be returning for later dates on the tour. While the reasons are unknown for why these artists have left the tour, I for one, respect their decisions to do so.

A thing to note is that life is never perfect. Sometimes things happen for the better, but sometimes it's for the worst. That's just how it goes, stuff happens. However, we move on. We put our best foot forward, and well, move forward.

While this is the goal in these kinds of situation, this is not always the case. In the past few days, some of the shows have had to be canceled because of travel issues or not enough tickets being bought for certain venues. Things like this happen, and it is understandable to want refunds in these situations. However, many fans have been very angry and negative through this. More than a few have been rude to the tour people, demanding a refund. Like I said, it is understandable wanting a refund if the show's cancelled or the band(s) you wanted to see won't be at the show. However, there is no need to be rude to the other bands on the tour or to the management of the tour. I read so many tweets of people threatening to sue and/or fight the tour management. Like WOAH. That is not the way to go about things.

First, you should not be bashing the other bands on the tour because you're mad about the bands you were going to see aren't going. The other performers worked just as hard as the ones that you love. They put in that 110 percent into their performance and are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. As someone who is a fan of those other performers, I can tell you that they were just as great as the ones who left the tour.

Two, don't be so quick to judge and make assumptions. The situation may be difficult, but don't assume that those artists who left are the only reason people were going on the tour. Once again, the other performers put forth everything they have into their performance, the audience, and their fans. They've done a phenomenal job and deserve credit for it.

And three, this is the tour's SECOND year, people need to cut them some slack. Being rude and/or sassy to the tour management, will not help you if you're wanting to ask them questions or get a refund. There were a few minor obstacles they had to overcome, but they were able to do it. The tour did great last year. They will be able to make it this year despite the problems, just like last year.

Honestly, I had never heard of the performers who left, R2C, Dylan or Zach, prior to this tour. But, just because I didn't know who they were, doesn't mean that I would bash on them or say that the other performers were the only reason people were even going on this tour. This tour brought forth a great plethora of musicians from various styles, which means that there will be fans for each of the performers there.

Also, as someone who is a fan of many bands, I like to think that I am a part of each of their fan-base and to be honest, they're more like families. Everyone in these band fams are so sweet and full of nothing but love. Because of this, I would think that fans of some bands would be just as respectful of other band fams as they are of their own band fam. It just seems like these people who were being negative to other bands and their fans are almost, as much as I hate to say it, fake. I just wish people would approach this matter in a more level-headed way and take a moment to breathe.Things will most likely work out, if they go about things in a way like this.

As one of my good friends, Natasha, said about the situation, "Be open to new artists -- you could be depriving yourself from amazing music." And at this point, with all the negativity that some people are spreading, this is all I can hope they learn from this.
