What if one day you woke up, and you were right in the middle of your favorite comic or comic-based movie? I think this idea has crossed a lot of comic book fans' minds. I know that it has crossed my mind numerous times. Let's say one morning you woke up in NYC and as you were walking down the street, you saw someone getting mugged. Before you could react, Spider-Man swings in out of no where to grab the mugger. I know what you're thinking, yeah, that was Spider-Man who just swung in front of you. If superheroes that had powers such as Spider-Man actually existed, people wouldn't know how to react or what to do. Imagine if the Hulk was fighting and just busted through the office building you were working at. I personally would probably pass out due to fear. You can't prepare anyone for that type of situation. What if they taught a class that was how to react to a big green muscle man 101—like, who does that?
Superheroes were created for our entertainment and also as symbols of patriotism like Captain America! They also now entertain us with the cinematic universe they have created through Marvel Studios and Disney. I know that Stan Lee and the other creators of Marvel Comics thought of this idea when they created all the superheroes we grew up with as kids. But this idea takes a little bit of creativity and your imagination to comprehend it and be able to imagine what a world like this would be like. Living in a world full of superheroes, I would feel safer, but also at the same time more in danger. Think if you befriend one of these superheroes and their villains took you as a hostage or bait to lure your friend/superhero to their death. A perfect example would be Spider-Man and his love interests Gwen Stacy and Mary-Jane Watson—these two women are the damsels in distress in most of the Spider-Man comics and also movies. A world full of superheroes would be action packed and also a higher protection level would be created due to the teams or alliances they would create besides their differences. Like the Avengers, none of the heroes part of that team knew any of the other heroes they would be joining. They still fought time in and time out, but they set aside their differences for the greater good of mankind. So scientists, get started and see if the creation of superheroes are possible and give me a call when you developed super speed or strength—those powers could come in handy. The world would be a better place with them, but we have superheroes of our own that fight for the greater good.
