I have been in a loving, committed relationship for as long as I can remember. It always feels good to be loved by someone who you know will always be there for you, take care of you, and love you through it all. And you know that no matter what, you will always love them, too, every side of them.

Yes, I am talking about my relationship with food.

Here's what I have found in my very loving relationship:

1. You are always wondering when you are going to get your next meal even though you just had a yogurt, bag of popcorn, and a few mandarin oranges.

I don't know about you, but my day's highlight reel typically involves food.

3. You have cute nicknames for your food.

"So when is that chicky-chicky-parm-parm going to be ready, Mom?"

4. You love it in all of its stages of life.

No need to be hangry when you've got a nice Chick-fil-a sandwich right in front of you.

6. It knows your deepest, darkest secrets.

You two are together for life. Literally. You will need food as long as you are alive.

8. It knows how to cheer you up.

I am always happier when I get a hold of a Belgian waffle.

9. It's always up for new adventures.

You can eat food anywhere in the world doing anything you want.

10. You couldn't imagine your life without your love of food.

Eating is not a task, it is a joy.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
